Founded in November of 1997 with support from the Southern Poverty Law Center, JJPL is a statewide law and advocacy center for young people in the juvenile justice system. We provide resources and information, direct representation, monitoring of youth prisons and public education and advocacy to demonstrate that rehabilitation and education are more cost-effective and humane ways to give our children skills and hope for the future as well as strengthen our communities.
