How You Can Help
While JJPL relies on contributions and financial support to continue providing needed legal and advocacy services for youth, there are many ways other than making a contribution to take action to reform Louisiana’s juvenile justice system. Here are a few ideas:
  • Read our website and request more information to know the facts on Louisiana’s juvenile justice system.
  • Request JJPL pamphlets and publications to share with interested friends, professional associates, your neighborhood, etc.
  • Talk to others in your community about the injustices in our juvenile justice system.
  • Volunteer for JJPL. Call to discuss your skills and to schedule an interview.
  • Write a letter to the editor in your local newspapers about your concerns.
  • Call your public officials and demand change.
  • Join Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children, FFLIC.
  • Request a JJPL speaker for your organization or faith-based groups.
  • Review our Links page for other organizations in your area working on juvenile justice reform.
  • Volunteer as a mentor at an area alternative program for teenagers.
