While
JJPL relies on contributions and financial support to continue
providing needed legal and advocacy services for youth, there are many
ways other than making a contribution to take action to reform
Louisiana’s juvenile justice system. Here are a few ideas:
- Read our website and request more information to know the facts on Louisiana’s juvenile justice system.
- Request JJPL pamphlets and publications to share with interested friends, professional associates, your neighborhood, etc.
- Talk to others in your community about the injustices in our juvenile justice system.
- Volunteer for JJPL. Call to discuss your skills and to schedule an interview.
- Write a letter to the editor in your local newspapers about your concerns.
- Call your public officials and demand change.
- Join Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children, FFLIC.
- Request a JJPL speaker for your organization or faith-based groups.
- Review our Links page for other organizations in your area working on juvenile justice reform.
- Volunteer as a mentor at an area alternative program for teenagers.
